Rooster appears dead but still warm

Lisa, I'm so sorry Reuben has passed away. At least you have a safe place here, to express your feelings.

I am posting from Fort Worth, Texas and we have had a tremendous amount of rain. No nasal discharge and his eyes were very clear. Ruben was treated as an outcast in the brood. He was seriously injured by a dog attack about a year ago and that is when he lost his statis as first rooster, he never regained that spot. I wonder if he just lost the will to live.

Oh I'm sorry to hear about Reuben
I have tears in my eyes

At least he's not suffering....

I cried when I got my Rescue Roo home , I cried when he took his first steps being free range and when he discovered what treats were

I thought I was an over-protective Mom with my two kids.... then I got chickens........
now I tell everyone I have 2 kids with skin, 13 with feathers
and 3 with fur

I am very sorry for your loss. I recently lost my Roo, too (vicious dog attack), so I know how you feel.
