Lack of respect for chicks (treating them like toys/science experiments)

Raising chicks in classrooms has long been an issue here as well sadly.

I would be upset about the Parrot thing too. Mostly because, if hatched, that momma is going to be trying to feed the baby directly and its probable there will be a lot of confusion / poor outcome.
Some species are compatible and so I say, experiment away! For learning or necessity, but not just for amusement.
Humans can be compatible with most animals because we're supposed to be able to think and plan and care. But a lot of folks seem to be missing the nature or nurture to do well by those in their care.

If I was on facebook I’d leave the group. There have been plenty of threads here that I’ve looked at and just left for similar reasons, although the dumb isn’t as prevalent here at BYC.
