Like I said, sounds like what I do. What happens us the esophagus collapses a bit. The touching of it together is like a gag reflex, very very touchy/tickly. Then the coughing helps open it up again.
Yep. Happened to me a couple of times. Had to go out and back again. Weird.
That's a good question. I actually did have my throat stretched once. I need it again because I'm having trouble swallowing again.

I didn't find it helped any to stretch my throat. I had surgery to get rid of sleep apnea, but it didn't work.
