No clue yet. They're early April babies so they're not quite there. I imagine they'll be the same size as my normal eggs that are layed, nothing super large though

They might be. My silver leghorn girls are a bit smaller than my other leghorn girls though

Mine mainly have purposes (like the 16 males I mentioned are for dinners), but I also consider the girls a type of pet so long as they do their jobs and don't cause problems. I like when they pose for my camera too, give me a chance to show them off better given my limited photography talent.

Yeah, I used to sit with my oldest group when I was younger, but they never were friendly enough to pick up or even pet like these. Still have like 16 boys to process from that group, but so far the ratio is surviving

New here. I've started to just sit with my young flock from this years chicks. I sit with the other groups occasionally, but I just really click with this particular group. One if my sebright pullets, Darling, is the first bird I've ever had squat for me and I just adore it.

I have also discovered my Cochin is really bad about leaving the last egg in the clutch. Doesn't matter if it's rocking and peeping, if you're last, then that sucks XD

Actually no. That's from her first batch this year. Here is some if the second batch. Same hen though for some of the eggs So far two dads, which is what I wanted since I have the Cochin eggs and a different hens eggs, so yay
