It is NOT illegal for you to have and raise her. Pigeons are non-native and considered feral.
It’s just like rescuing a feral kitten.
I am so sorry, I have had some horrible vets over the years, many just don’t feel pigeons are “worth it” which is so sad...

Okay good, that is a safe way to do so, and most similar to how a parent feeds. Other methods you risk aspiration. I use a tube directly into the crop but that takes some practice.
Be sure there is enough formula in the syringe, so that the beak can stay fully covered, otherwise he will take in...

Did you change brands or open a new bag of the red stone? I’ve found my pigeons go crazy for the red stone when it a brand or a batch that’s more salty, to where I need to really limit it or they wouldn’t stop.
Sorry I am just seeing this. Sometimes (very) gently massaging the crop after giving the warm apple sauce can help.
