Hello,

I have 2 baby emus 2-3 weeks old. The male seems to have wider set hips and waddles when he runs. The female has more narrow hips and her run is smoother. Wondering if they are just built differently or if something may be wrong with the male?

Your help is appreciated!

Thank you!

Wild emus are soooo hard to tell apart. But you do notice that some are what I call 'beamy' -- wider across the hips.

It's a little hard for me to really gauge this because I don't get to handle the tame-wild emus as you can handle your chicks. But over years, yeh, you notice the odd 'skinny' emu and the odd 'beamy' emu.
