Yolks that break easily....

Yolks that break easily are becoming an issue with my flock - so is it age of the hens that is the reason to this?

I don't know, but I've noticed the same thing with my eggs. The shell is hard, but if I'm not careful, my fried eggs will be scrambled.

Personally, I've always had the opposite "problem" - yolks that are so firm, they are hard to break up and scramble. My flock eats an organic feed, raw ACV in their water, probiotics (like kefir or yogurt) a couples times per week, plus extra protein treats several times per week.
