When Do Pekin Ducklings Quit Peeping & Start Quacking?

My Pekin duckling is growing faster than any animal I've ever seen. Wow! But he/she is still peeping like a teensy baby even though he/she has easily quadrupled in size already. Do ducklings start developing their mature voices at around the same time or does it vary a lot?

I've never had Pekins, only Mallards, but they've always started around 4-6 weeks, sometimes at late as 7 weeks for the boys.

Agreed. Though some of my ducks have begun to show voice change (the girls) as early as 3 weeks old. It will sound like a funny honk or hiccup on the end of the peep if it is a girl. The boys really don't change drastically, just morph slowly from peep into whispery quack.
