What's the temperature where you are???

I was amazed how many houses didn't have frost free outside faucets.
That, and the electricity was out for days. No heat in most homes unless a wood burning fireplace was being used (which isn't common). No running water in our suburb of around 22,000 because the pump station had no electricity for days. Roads were iced. We got to live like pioneers :)

We had a winter storm that blew some trees down quite a few years back. We didn't lose power, but lots of people did!
Seven blocks from us they were without power for two weeks, and it was freezing and snowy both weeks.
They were cutting up the blown down trees to burn in their fireplaces!

Hot is one thing, humid is another. When it's 90 degrees with 100% percent humidity & your glasses steam up the second you open the door to go out, and you're drenched in sweat just walking to the truck...and this is at 6am...yeah, can anyone say Steambath Weather? These are the times I'd rather live west. The east coast can really be sweltering in July.
