What to do about a long-term beak injury

Hello,

I'm not sure what I should do, if anything, for my girl that has an injured beak. I noticed a couple months ago that her beak was very dark and funky looking but I didn't look very closely and assumed it was just normal for her. This morning my husband caught her and said hey look at her messed up beak. It's clearly been broken. The top is shorter than the bottom, half of it's black, and very bump and rough. The thing is, I know it's been like this for months so I don't know if it's something I can actually fix or NEED to fix at this point. She's seems to be doing just fine, laying daily, eating, but I can't know for sure. There's no blood or cracks visible. It kinda seems like it's just healed over but since beaks never stop growing that doesn't really make sense. A vet isn't an option so if I need to do something, it needs to be an at home remedy.

TIA for any advice!

:welcome Monitor her - if the lower beak becomes too long it may impede her ability to eat and may need trimming.
