What plants can I plant in my quail cage

Hi I have got coturnix quail and I want some plants to cover the ground and any other materials to give them cover

For my first (rather short) attempt at plants I used various herbs, lemon grass, rosemary, lavender, mint, etc.
I plan to do herbs again but with better established plants.

Whatever you plant in there, keep reserve pots or something that you can switch out. They will enjoy the plants very much as they destroy them.

So far the things that have survived long-term in my setup are muhly grass (they get nice and big over time), rosemary, and most herbaceous shrubs. You might have to isolate the plants while they're young or let them get a little bigger in pots first. If you can pant directly in the ground, that's what really does it for these birds, cover-wise.
