What made you happy today?

What made me happy today was having a fun time with my friend, getting a lot of work done in my garden, and talking to my sister for a long time. And seeing my chickens of course!

Ran into my brother and his family today at the zoo. Had a great time catching up with everyone.

I went on a short bike ride to pick up the weekly box of vegetables, and we stopped at the local continuation high school as usual to see their flock of about 20 chickens. They were so cute! Some of the breeds I remember seeing were:
-Salmon Faverolles
-several Wyandottes (silver and gold-laced)
-several Polish (buff laced, white crested black, and black laced (bearded))
-Rhode Island Red
-several Cochins (various solid colors)
-white Silkie

(The only negative thing was that since they have an all-dirt run and no one looks after their feet, their feet are all in bad condition with very overgrown nails.)

Cleaned out old bedding and replaced with all new. Smelled SO good. Made a space for mama kitty and litter of 5. Hubby cut mey tubes for wicking tubs. Great day.

Had a really stressful week but I did enjoy working on the rockscape in my aquarium yesterday and watching my bunny play with her toys today

My sister had three huge trees cut down in her backyard this past week. So we went over there today and helped her family cut it all up and pile it. They don't have a need for all the wood but we do. We have a wood burner that is our only heat in the winter, and we have a fire pit. The wood needs to season before we can use it, but it was good to help them clear the yard up. Blisters and all!
