What did you do in the garden today?

I weeded a couple of days ago and planted peas. Way too early, but it is what it is I guess. Maybe I'll get some peas this time before they wither like usual.

I dont understand their need to flatten all things. They must assume there is always a super grub down at the bottom. i enjoy watching them work it.

I finally got some seeds planted today. I cleaned up the "nursery" yesterday. I filled eleven 6-pak starter cells with peppers, tomatoes, brassicas and herbs. The incandescent lamp below the cells will keep them warm while they're sprouting.

Tomorrow's plan get the seeds started. I'm going to put the peas in the garden and cabbage Brussels sprouts and broccoli and whatever else I can think of. Then I will have the peppers tomatoes and herbs in the house. I bought a blackberry plant and a blueberry plant today. I'm going to get them planted on Friday, hopefully.

cauliflower and most of broccoli are done for this season. I am going to plant some fruit trees and a purple magnolia tree I bought yesterday.

We've been getting some rain with more coming Saturday. I want to plant my potatoes and cabbage when it dries up some.
The peas are growing.

More of the camelias are blooming!

Still raining here. The sump pump woke me up. Hoping for a break in the rain tomorrow. Have I mentioned how much I love my new mud boots? Lol! I need to get tomato seeds started soon. My strawberry plants have been in “shipping” stage for 2 weeks now and they just added another week to the delivery window. Good grief! Going shopping this morning. I’m hoping the “promised” break in the rain this afternoon really happens so the hens can have a break outside of the chicken run.

I'm sure the person who coined the phrase, "In ___ minutes flat!" really said, "In ___ minutes: FLAT!" and was talking about what chickens did to a pile of something.
