We had our first spring harvest today. Spinach salad. A few plants managed to survive the winter in the green house. Yummy!

bugs were bad last year... it was a dry year (at least in NY) so I'm hoping it won't be as bad this year

I am still traumatized by our Alabama drought last year. It was pretty bad. No substantial rain for six months. I think the bugs died of thirst.

It was bad. The almanac says it's going to be another hot dry summer too. :/

we just had a pretty good rain and I am thankful. Everything that is up is mulched pretty thick. I am trying to get my ground to hold as much water as possible.

The tomatoes are a little bigger now. I have gone to no dig no till...and it seems to be working.

This is some of the damage done by the drought here. Along with these we have 7 trees down on the fences and ground.

We lost like six pines last year, even the hundred year old oaks started wilting.
