Where did you get your birds from? You seem to be having some genetic flaws in your flock.

I know this if a buff orpington cockerel. I'm wondering what causes the red shoulder in buff.

On him, this can be normal for some, but leakage in others. He looks more like a Buff Comet in color than Buff Orpington.

None are pure the blue lace is a blue laced gold a mix between blue laced and gold laced the splash laced isnt pure either so whoever sold you these bred nothing more then mutts

They should but not all do, a good percentage of hatchery birds have straight combs.

Yes, this is true. Meaning the bird is poorly bred. Good to specify that in your post. Of course, this is not a problem unless you are planning to show/sell or would like pure bred birds.
