Seen a lot of eagles lately.... I'm used to seeing on or two at a time. But I saw four sitting on a road kill deer the other morning when I was heading to iron mountain for the Drs appointment.
As common as they are around here I still can't help but pause for a minute to watch them

I on the other hand am trying to find less things to do.... Who knew retiring would be so much work.... Raul came over yesterday and we got all but a few pieces of metal up on the shop project...I will get those on today.
The door will be here by the end of the week.
I'll take a picture later and post.
Went with Raul yesterday and helped him pull a dock out of Little Lake you all should have seen the house where this dock was.... Nice log home. I guess it belongs to a commercial airline pilot... Sweet.

My RR pullet has joined the Big Girl League of Hens. Now I know for sure the dark brown egg is the Marans Mix. Both of their eggs are so tiny, just a little bigger than a quail egg.

I'm hoping my other two pullets (EE & Cochin) lay soon. Once they lay I can worry less & relax a little.

Yes. Over the years we've had a 1/2 dz or so birds die of what looked like Marek's symptoms right before they were old enough to lay. If they make it to the laying stage they usually do ok.
