Waterers/feeders that are free of BPA, pthalates, etc?

Since whatever my chickens eat I will be eventually eating in their eggs, I'm trying to stay away from things like PVC. Aside from galvanized steel, has anyone found any other feeders that fit the bill? I'd like to make a waterer with nipples, but I have to find the right kind of bucket or pipes that we can drill into!
You can use a glass aquarium as a tank for your water and a icemaker hose to siphon the water out the way I did here:

I did use a stretch of PVC at the end however since then I heard about a PVC that is made more specifically for drinking water so if I was doing it again I would investigate that -- sorry I don't have more details. I thought of drilling into stainless for the nipples but thought that might be tough to do. I was going to use the stainless nipples but from what I read they tend to leak more. Also the plastic part of of the regular nipples are made of a plastic that doesn't build up mineral deposits which is a factor with our water. Can't speak to their BPA content but maybe QC Supply has info.

I make automatic chicken waterers with food grade and BPA Free Bucket.
