Looking for a new home for 5 chicks hatched Cinco de Mayo (May 5th), free to fellow BYCers! They are mixed breed and straight run. Most are from my White Leghorn hen, 1 or possibly 2 are from my Red Star hen. The Rooster was a mixed breed of Ameraucana/Leghorn/Australorp - hatched from a blue egg, his mother is a great egg layer(6/week) when she isn't broody, also a very good broody hen.
Grown up they will most likely look like Austra-Whites with single dominant white over black. The black chick is from my Red Star, (s)he will most likely look like a Black Sex link with the red leaking through black.
I didn't want to give my broody hen the full 15 chicks and I would like to shut off the heat lamp so the extras are free to a good home!
