(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am new to chickens! I first got my freshly hatched chicks in November 2021.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

(3) What breeds do you have?
Hy-line Brown
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I like learning about them, and I like soending time with them. I like watching my kids feed them dandelion leaves and collect eggs and chase them around. I like their little faces. I like saving fruit and veggie scraps for them.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening, cooking, writing, photography.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I live with my partner and our 4.5 year old, 2 year old and 2 month old. We have a 12 year old cat too and between all of our dependants we don't sleep well or have time for all of our projects. We have big dreams for our urban property.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I keep ending up here while troubleshooting problems with my flock! I am learning a lot here and it seems like a supportive community.
