Hi all.

I was looking at buying some hens off a breeder, im assuming that they are the offspring of the picture I have added..

I am new to having LA pheasant, and so only compare to my own who I believed to be true which he came full plumage.

Is this image a younger LA pheasant?
Why is the yellow so large on its back and missing the blue?

I have added 2 images of my handsome friend too.

I thought maybe clipped?

Doesn’t really seem to be much movement in the image so not sure

He's holding his wing lower during his display, showing off his back....the blue secondary feathers of the wing are covered by the yellow back feathers.
