Today I Say Goodbye

Today I say goodbye to my OG Lady. She was the first chicken I ever learned to love and care for at 1 year old, 7 1/2 years ago. She made it through many harsh winters with me, and conquered some random sicknesses that hit my flock throughout the years. I was so hopeful for one more winter with her, but the last couple of weeks really took a toll on her health, no matter what I tried to do keep her healthy. She passed away peacefully in my arms this morning, and I buried her on our property where she loved to show her dominance throughout her life. Fly free, Old Lady.
