I hatched 3 chicks and I am watching this one (named Hope, possibly switching to Howard) 4weeks old tomorrow…painted front legs but the waddle at the top looks a bit red….thoughts?

I wanna say that redness looks like it's influenced by lighting.. but the wide white barrings seems pretty indicative.

In theory.. BR are auto sexing at hatch.. in practice.. maybe not so much.

This one was kinda fun to read but do note when it gets to the auto sexing trait table.. they got their genders and features mixed up/backwards..

Yes cockerel. He will be a good one to keep around. Really nicely double barred and a big comb means he will be a man amongst boys!
