Hard to fault a good goose

How do y’all get rid of eggs? We got a lot of chickens and are getting 1-4 dozen eggs a day. We can’t get rid of any chickens though.

My gander , who is no longer my gander, lives on happily at his new home. He's been there almost a year and I saw him just a few weeks ago. Still named Natasha, he was supposed to be a goose. He has a better home. Don't think ill try geese again.

No I ha d Boris who got eaten by coyote (note cartoon names) then I got him another goose but he killed her. Accidentally I think and I may have contributed. So I found him a new home and got out of the goose keeping.

No but they are lovely animals. I just wasn't prepared properly for them. I do good with ducks but geese are beyond what I should be doing for my set up. I wouldn't want to discourage anyone from getting them, the fault was mine, not theirs. And I do love seeing Natasha so happy.

I use plastic, to cover the crock. And a huge rock to sink the plate to keep the kraut down.

Assuming that you've cleaned that rock thoroughly after you picked it up from your Turkey run?

Krauts are best when kept down.
