Wish we could do stuff like that around here. Can't do so much as strike a match without setting the world on fire here.It only rained for a couple hours. Dh, and the kids have a fire going in the fire pit, and they're out there enjoying it.
We still have snow from yesterday and are under a winter storm watch for more. The high today was 32F and a low of 23F. I am seriously not excited about this either! I want spring!Rain has stopped and has been replaced with wind. Temps supposed to drop into the 20"s with feels like temps in the teens. I am not excited about this.
No that's about the last thing I plant. Okra doesn't like cold ground or nematodes. I am planting in multiple plots to be sure I do get good harvest. Since we found out that we can blanch in a dehydrator and store we shall store a lot more. It fries well or cooks down with tomatoes and onions after being stored dry. This will be the first time in a few years that we plant Pinkeye Purple Hull peas to go along with some Texas Cream 40's. Maybe a few Zipper Creams too. Zipper Creams are easy to shell but just do not have the yield of the first two.Is your okra patch in?
