Pretty sad. There was a RL in South Burlington for a while. Service was never good. There is an Olive Garden there now.

I think RL and OG are owned by the same company.

Is the service better at the Olive Garden Bruce? Always seemed to me bad service was the fault of management...they either didn't hire the right people or they didn't train them well.

Olive Garden is owned by the same corporation that owns Red Lobster. I don’t like Italian food....can barely tolerate any kind of pasta so I’ve just never been there.

either way blooie you 're beautiful

Awww, thank you!

Yep to both....

Don't know, never go there :) I'm guessing it must be since they have been in that location for at least 10 years now. There USED to be a really good fish restaurant nearly across from the RL. No reason for the RL to even exist ;) They had at least a dozen fish dishes. But then they started cutting back, fewer and fewer kinds of fish and the Sunday brunch went to h311. Instead of a full salad bar complete with smoked fish, they had a bowl of salad and dressing on the side. Then they changed it completely and turned it into an Italian restaurant. Didn't last 2 or 3 years. It was torn down and now there is a Goodwill store there. No decent fish anywhere in the Burlington area now as far as I can tell.

Thanks. It was really long and thick a few years ago, and frankly I just loved it. I could pile it up on my head, like in the photo Tam posted, or pony tail it, or wear it down - just pick a style and go. Then I discovered a “miracle” cleansing product called “Wen” and fell in love with it. I actually bought it by the gallon and used it exclusively for over a year! My hair was softer and shinier than ever! But it started to thin, badly. I’d had surgery about that time and it wasn’t unusual for anesthesia to cause a little thinning, so I wasn’t worried at first. But it got worse and worse....pink scalp showing in places. Then Jen saw a news report that there was a class action lawsuit against Wen for the very thing I was experiencing - severe hair loss. Some people were lucky and after they stopped using the product their hair started coming back. Others never did get back to what they had before. I am one of those. So I could either have thin, stringy hair or cut it all off and try to start over. It’s been super short ever since. So I went from this:

That photo of Little Diane and me was taken in 2011, so mine was even a little longer that that when the Great Hair Exodus happened.

It was quiet one, Sean, just the way I like them! Thanks!

Yeah, two days of 70s followed by weeks of 90-105. :he

Walleye are my very favorite, best caught by a campsite on a lake or river in eastern South Dakota and cooked over a campfire the same day! Here walleye are considered “trash fish” because they decimate the wild trout populations. People are beginning to figure out how fun they are to catch and how good they are to eat, so the walleye fishery is picking up, but it’s still strange to watch somebody excitedly pull in their line, cuss and say, “Just a blankety blank blank walleye.”

Several semi trucks blown over on I 25 near Wheatland yesterday, Debby. What part of a “70-80 mile an hour wind warning, trucks with trailers prohibited” don’t those drivers understand?

I’m sorry the wuzwels are hitting your family, especially when you had plans to spend time together. By our ages, every minute we can spend together is priceless.

I have been unhappy with RL for a couple of years now. Lobster tails the size of shrimp, prices up, quality down....used to be my favorite place to eat. Now for my lobster fix we hit the Wind River Casino in Riverton. The Red Willow restaurant in there has huge lobster tails, and the cocktail shrimp are the size of RL lobster tails! $29.00! The butter is served in little fancy holders with a flame under it so it stays nice and hot and melty-down-your-chinny decadent! You listening, Debby? Good stop on your way to Casper if you take that route. But the casino allows smoking, and you have to walk through the casino part to get to the restaurant. I’m a smoker and it’s strong to me! But once you get into the restaurant you don’t smell it, so your meal is stink-free. Ken has a visitation in Riverton on Jan 11 but I don’t think I’m going unless Jen can get her appointment changed. Otherwise I have the girls. But we’ll be there on the 18-20th again for the Grand Master’s Winter Reunion so I’ll get my lobster then!
Wow Riverton has sure grown up since I lived there. A big casino? Tasty Freeze was "It" back in the day! Lol! There was an old hotel downtown that we thought was a big deal. Beautiful dining room with chandeliers and tablecloths. I wouldn't recognize it now I guess.
My gramma did take me on a nice drive to the origin of the Wind river. We hiked to the place where it comes out of the ground. Pretty cool for a little kid!
