Woo! So glad to hear. Nature is pretty wonderful isn’t it? To think about basically completely rebuilding the body structure then surviving an entire winter before coming out is just so crazy cool.

I agree. This past winter was so brutal…I worried about them surviving but it’s like they already knew what was up and came prepared!

Found this zebra swallowtail last year on my back deck, hoping I see more of them this year.

Whoo, I had not seen this. Awesome pictures! I have a certified butterfly habitat (and also certified as a wildlife habitat). I will be back as the season goes along. Too early for even cabbage whites up here yet.
