So my little quail babies are about two months old and laying... how long before you suppose the male will be successful in his ventures of reproduction? So far he's just tearing up the feathers on the girls and not finishing the job as far as I can see after he hops on. LOL

When you guys have quads of birds, when do you usually start collecting eggs for incubation? The first four were not fertile, but didn't really expect them to be with how clumsy the boys is. LOL

It takes a while for newly matured quail to lay fertile eggs. I would wait at least 2 weeks before you start any incubating. You should be good to go after that!
