Legs is keeping his girls company at night now and his coop has been given to another bachelor rooster. We have some version of aseel in the brooder now. I was given the eggs by a local and we will not know until they are much older.

Legs is in trouble. He is confined to quarters while his girls get to play outside now. He left them and when shopping at another coop for a much smaller girl and broke wing feathers on her until she was bloody. I just knew he he had ripped her open but just some wing feathers broken off. He thought he could jump straight up and make a run for it but he landed right in my arms and got his ears talked off all the way back to his coop with the door closed behind him. A 10-12 lb boy is no match for a 4 lb girl. Need to weigh him one of these days when he stops growing. He has 3 fully grown CxR hens that weigh well over 10lbs each. There was a reason for giving him those.

I dont know about that. Every bird that was ever gifted to me was better than what i could buy unless i spent thousands $$$
I do have a rooster than means a whole lot to me even though his monetary value is not much. He is half aseel and half Indio Gigante. At the same time he was gifted to me a pullet came with him that was supposed to be another roo and turned out to be my best little hen ever. She sticks with me like glue. She is part game. How much I don't know now. She got a special treat of fresh blackberries last night. It's a good thing she doesn't know where the patch is. In less than a month hopefully all ten of an order of Saipans will be here. Best I get to work on their coop and run soon.
