Spring 2019 pics and the "Backyard Divas"!

Hi Everyone, I am sure that you are as excited about the arrival of spring we are. After the long winter it is good to get outside, till the gardens and spend some more time with the flock.

Here are some pics of our spring so far here on The Kuntry Klucker Farm.

Tilling day!!! the girls get very excited when they see the tiller come to the backyard, they know what bounty awaits them as it turns over the soil. Here is 2019 tilling day!!

Then we had paint the coops day. I touch up my coops about every other year with a fresh coat of paint, this year all 7 coops received a paint job.

And...of course our annual day of planting annuals in the chicken yard. The girls absolutely love flower planting day. I'm not sure if its all the sampling they get to do of the blooms or if its
the dust bathing the potting soil bag that they enjoy more. In their point of view its probably a toss up.

Finally, it wouldn't be spring without a broody momma and a clutch of chicks.

Aww...thanks so much. That's pretty much my idea of spring... chicks, flowers, and gardens. How could it get any better.
