sick chickens

hello. we have some very sick chickens that we were hoping you could help us with. the symptoms are runny noses, coughing, and sneezing. one chicken has already died.

A chicken cold or flu would be my guess.

Are they still eating ok? If not try giving them some warm soft grain like poridge, or warm soaked/cooked wheat or brown rice. This is easier for them to digest and will use less of their energy, leaving them more energy to fight whatever is ailing them. If they will eat it, you can also try lacing their food with garlic which has great antibacterial qualities.

Keep them warm and dry. I have never used antibiotics with chickens but others have and may be able to comment.
