Seven year old Leghorn, feeling poorly after egg broke inside her.

I’m not sure what to do next. She won’t eat or drink anything. She’s slow to get around today. But she’s fast enough that I can’t catch her. I’m waiting until dark and then I’ll try to feed her.

Can you give her a human calcium citrate tablet today and daily for the next few days? Do you have an antibiotic, such as amoxicillin (Aqua Mox, Fish Mox) that you can give her? Dosage is 250 mg by mouth twice a day for 10 days. That might help to prevent infection.
