I took some pictures of my Buff Barred Columbians (Project Delaware F2s) today. I have 6 of them (all female, as expected), out of 200 eggs hatched. Some are darker than others. I imagine it has to do with how many barred genes they have? I call them Rockshires..... Buff Barred Rockshires.
How can I make males and then get them to breed true? Is it possible?? I also have 6 Buff Columbian female F2s, if they would be of any use in this.?
Note: F1s were Barred Rock male over New Hampshire female..... they were all barred (as expected). Those mated together and I got a variety (as was expected). These are one of the varieties that I kept.
