I'm just wondering how old my duck's have to be to eat layer

Due to the massive range of ages before ducks lay, i've had some start at 4mths others who were hatched later not come in till the following year, i would not recommend using a layer till the first eggs are seen, excessive calcium in growing birds is bad, cause health concerns.

How old are your ducks? I generally don't use layer with my ducks i often have babies and youths.. so opt for a grower(16% pro) with free choice oyster shell.
