It would never dawn on me to wear mismatched socks. I'm going to have to try it.

Oh, wait... I buy 6 pairs of the same thing (white, diabetic socks so they aren't so tight on the cuff), and ball them up after laundry. They are pre-matched.

Matched. The amount of holes may not match though. Chair/couch

Matched. Even on the ones the ones that I have multiple pairs of the same color. Both socks must have the same amount of wear to be truly matched as well.
