I am debating crossing my White Leghorn hen with a Blue English Orpington. I was wondering if the chicks that inherit the diluting gene from the Orpington will have splotches of blue feathers similar to a single dominant white gene chicken has occasional black feathers? If so I would do the cross. Has anyone done this?
Basically i am imagining an Austra-white appearance but instead of black, I would have blue feathers and I could select those chicks for future crosses.
