This is Goldie, she is a blue Isbar chicken with a golden kind of crest , she got attacked by a fox last year and stopped laying eggs for 9 months.. even though they are my pets, when they are young they do have to „deliver“ at some point, so I told her, you have till May to start laying again, or else…. So she got the wakeup call and started laying big beautiful green eggs again, look at how proud she is

Goldie is a beautiful and lucky girl.
We had a white hen named Penny. As she got older she laid less and less, until she seemed to stopped laying. She had more than a few years on her and she was the only hen who laid blue eggs. After about 8 months of no blue eggs, my husband told her she better start laying again or it was the soup pot for her. Well Sure enough Penny started laying again, for a few months and then she stopped. Months went by with no blue eggs, and husband repeated his threat, and again she laid for a few weeks and stopped. This went on for years. Penny passed away of old age after a wonderful life.
Long live Goldie.

Need help. I have a new Cream Legbar and she's been here 3 days. (She's in her own coop since my 3 other pullets are 20 weeks.) All afternoon and evening she pecks away at the coop. I go out and call her new name so she stops for a moment, then starts again. I need sleep. Is she neurotic? Or is this normal Cream Legbar behavior? I've never had a "Princess-pecks-a-lot" ever. I'm on my 3rd/4th coop now.

My older hens are allowed to rest, but the 10 and 11 year old hens still do lay some eggs but a young hen from 2020 can’t just stop laying for the rest of her life she got the message

Is she suffering from a lack of space? Is she lonely?

Try giving her a big pile of dried grass clippings, a big pile of last year's leaves raked out from under the bushes, etc, or a couple flakes off a bale of straw so that she'll have something to scratch.

Once the integration time is accomplished she can mix with the younger girls.

There's nothing in her coop to play with. She won't even leave the upper deck area that's up high with a ramp. I've placed food in the far end of the coop to get her moving around but nothing. Great suggestion on leaves or grass clippings. I have perfect clean giant leaves from my neighbors' avocado tree. Putting them in there now..... She can't see the other birds yet.... I'll move her around today. Giant thank you.
