Well, one of the eggs I set for a friend hatched, & it's a Silkie. Nothing new to report on the Malay eggs yet. I'll update in awhile. They're still working on internally pipping.

What are the chances of me getting Some of your Malays hatching eggs in the next few months?

Slim. Gotta build my flock back up. My dad's Turkey Tom killed 2, of my Malays. The one that was currently laying, & a pullet who was close to laying. So, now I only have 2 Malay hens left, an American, & an Indian.

One of the Malay chicks was starting to worry me abit. So I made a safety hole. I accidentally nicked a couple of the smaller veins, which scared me alittle. Thought I accidentally hit the big vein, that would cause a bleed out.

Not the first time I've done a safety hole, sometimes they can be abit tricky to do.

Chick #2, has made more progress, & #3, is still looking the same.

Chick #1, the one I made a safety hole for is getting pretty active, so that's a sign it may hatch tonight, or sometime tomorrow.
