So - this hen was looking a bit 'off', so I checked her out and found what looked like a tongue coming out of her vent. I gently pulled and inserted a finger and removed this parchment like shell. I re-checked her and there doesn't appear to be any more. Although she looks a bit droopy, she has been eating/drinking ok. What's my next move? I was simply planning to observe her and see what happens, is there something else I should be doing? Thanks in advance,

She has had a broken shell-less egg break inside. She can be at risk for egg yolk peritonitis. Make sure she has crushed egg shells or oystershell available, and a little extra vitamin D may help to harden her shells.
