Hey y'all! My name is Misti. I have 15 week old chickens & I got them at a week old 14 weeks ago. I have 12 hens. 2 buff orpingtons, 2 productive reds, 2 Easter eggers, 2 Silver Laced Americanas (sp) & 4 Black Sex Links. I rehomed an accidental rooster (buff orpington) & a buff orpington hen 1 week ago today so I originally had 4 buff orpingtons. I needed a bigger coop so I found an easyish one on Pinterest with specific directions. My husband & I with ZERO construction experience completed it on less than 3 weeks....barely! It turned out better than I expected & the ladies seem to really like it. I am really enjoying a coop that is easier to clean & that I can physically walk into. Now we can actually pet & interact with our chickens at night. The best item Ive purchased so far is an Automatic Coop Door from Amazon. It is made bt Happy Henhouse. It was a cheaper door than most & has wonderful customer service! It has been so nice to have! If you have questions, feel free to ask!

My husband and I also had to build a coop and run QUICKLY, as I, in my usual impulsiveness, came home one fine day with four little peepers from TSC.
We really enjoy our chickens and you will too. Keep all of us here posted on your progress and growing chicks.
