So sorry for your losses, always difficult in the heart.

Yes, rightly or wrongly I look at the girls as pets and it was very sad and sometimes confusing when they passed away as I either missed signs or they weren't visible to me. Anyway, I'm trying to learn more now to be a better chicken owner!
