Hi, I’m new.
13 years ago we kept chickens but then we got a golden retriever who kept trying to retrieve them so we rehomed them.
Since then I have set up an aviary with 11 Kakarikis.
We also have 2 indoor Kakarikis, a cockatiel and a lineolated parakeet.
The dog puts up with them and has never attempted to hurt them even though they are free in the room if we are in.
My neighbour has got me interested in hatching chickens so I have borrowed an incubator from him and we are picking up 12 eggs on Saturday.
It’s all new and I am very excited.
