New to raising chickens...starting from “scratch.”

Hello. I’d love to learn how to raise healthy chickens in my backyard. I’m building a coop on Wednesday and buying my first four chickens. I reside in North Central Florida and I’m just beginning to plan and design a backyard chicken coop and habitat to gain organic eggs and have the proper environment for 4 healthy chickens.

Relax, take 3 or 4 weeks. Buy some used "chicken books" off of Amazon for a few bucks, read everything front to back. You'll have questions, dig around on this forum for answers. Ask questions here. Research all the mistakes others have made when building a coop. Don't rush into it. Then you'll be ready to jump in, it's still Plenty early in the chicken season.
