Welcome to BYC!!I am a new member from Southern New England who has been reading posts here for six years and have had my chickens for five years. I finally had a question that someone hadn’t already asked so I decided to become a member. This site has been so helpful that I recently got six baby chicks! From my small original flock of four, I have only two left. One turned out to be a rooster that was so mean and attacked me each time I went in. I rehomed him with someone we knew that would take good care of him. That was upsetting because he was a beautiful rooster! One of my other chickens just died suddenly two years ago. She never showed any signs that anything was wrong. My two original girls have been living in harmony, so now I’m going to upset their retirement home…
Thank you, neighbor!Glad to meet you. Welcome to Back Yard Chickens. Sorry for your loss and that you had to rehome a beautiful rooster. Good job doing it carefully. I'm a neighbor in Massachusetts, just south of Boston. Nice to meet another New Englander.
