Hi everyone, my name is Richard, I live in a small town in central Texas. I'm 69 years old and a retired Police Officer after 41 years and 9 months, the last 16 I was the Chief. I have had chickens off and on most of my life, bantams and standards, cochins have always been my favorites, right now I don't have any but I am working on my new pen and hope to have more before the 1st. of May. I ran across Back Yard Chickens while just looking around on the web for information or new techniques on housing and food. I had honestly forgot I had joined here several years ago, one of the admins. found my old account while I was trying to re join and got me going again. I owe that person a big THANK YOU for helping me out and I hope to be around here for a long time.
