My preferred feed for ducks and ducklings that is readily available and easy to find, if you are in the US... is Purina Flock Raiser. It has 20% protein and enough niacin for most breeds except giant Pekin. I provide oyster shell on the side free choice for anyone still laying eggs.

Someone recently told me they thought Muscovy were not a true duck and more in line with geese... Is that what you are saying also?

Fascinating to see that they only need 2.5-3% calcium during lay! Truly valuable resource that link is.
