Muscovy Ducks Day 32–internally pipped but bruised, is that ok?

Hello there!

My Muscovy ducks are on day 32, and I have a few that have internally pipped. All of them are quite active and I hear chirping. One of my eggs looks like it is starting to slightly bruise right where the little guy has been pecking. Is that ok? This is my first time with duck eggs so I’m a bit nervous. The duck with the bruised egg is especially active and chirping so I know they’re alive.

Is the bruising on the air cell part of the egg? If so it will probably externally pip soon. Be patient Moscovy can take a couple of days to go from internal pip to zip. Good luck.

Thank you for the reply! The bruising is kind of right between the air sack and the rest of the egg, right where he’s been pecking.
