Meat quail?

I agree. Most hatcheries will not ship less than 100 chicks and even then I've heard of high doa rates are not uncommon with shipped chicks. I've had excellent hatch rates with quail eggs. Even better than shipped chicken eggs. I'm thinking of getting some of Sam's jumbo coturnix eggs later since I saw pics of how huge they are! I got to see how my own jumbo chicks do and have been selling pretty good now so hoping I can keep a few for myself. If not I'm going to have to buy more eggs.

I don't know that it's ever a need... but I sure do like hatching baby quail. Something about them...

Y'know... I wouldn't mind hatching more for meat. Mine are only just now 2 weeks old, so it's going to be awhile before they're producing. Whatcha got?
