Marking Eggs

Hello! So, I was curious, how do people mark their eggs in their incubator, such as to distinguish which eggs are from which breeding pair? So, I thought I'd post a poll on it. Thank you!

I would use pencil and draw a little symbol to determine which is which (Like a square, star, circle) because if you ask me, Numbers are not very fun!

For mine i do a x and o on each side and inside of the o i put a number with pencil.

I use sharpies, they are non toxic. My wife writes names on each egg for fun and I mark the spot and direction to turn them to. If I really cared about which chick comes from which egg I would probably make some hatching baskets to keep them from moving away from their egg after hatching.

I never actually mark the ones I incubate, but it's apparently soooooooo hard to turn the eggs over to check, I might as well not mark my broody's eggs either
