Hi all, one of my runner ducklings that's 2 weeks old has had a lump appear under its tongue I'm not sure what it is but it's growing. Has anyone got any ideas? They are still eating and drinking.

I have no idea but I'd think if an abscess a vet should take a look and drain it. Then the little one will have to have an antibiotic. I wouldn't put it off long. It might get to the point where it can't eat or drink and possibly swallow. Such a precious little one.
@Fivelittleducks :welcome

Just a quick update, we only had one vet in the within a 2 hour radius that would see ducks so we had to wait until yesterday.

The vet said we can sedate the duckling and take a sample but if it's a tumor there's nothing they can do because they can't sew it up with the location.

However the vet said little brownie has and will adapt around it but if she starts to struggle with eating, breathing or drinking to bring her back and they'll do the tests or she might have to go for a trip over rainbow bridge 🙁 So now we're hoping to have a happy healthy duck that just has a little addition to it's face.

I hope he'll be alright despite it! 😕 Poor little guy
