Lockdown time!

I set 6 eggs on March 25th and all 6 of my babies made it to lockdown!
Now the hard part begins...I’ve gotten so addicted to candling and talking to them, it’s tough not opening that lid! I’m really, really, really excited to see what these little mitts look like. The eggs are from some of my year old hens, my first chickens ever that I got at TSC last spring. I set one Leghorn, one RIR, and four Golden Comet eggs. The dads will be one of my two EE roos, Sebastian or Rocky. Here’s some pics of the happy family

All my girls. Not sure who’s egg I got exactly, but these are all the possible moms.

And here is my handsome boy Sebastian Bok. He’s such a good roo.

Sigh...then there’s Rocky. He’s a bit of a turkey...he’s lucky he’s so handsome!

Welp! Anyone wanna sit around with me and impatiently wait for babies??

i have four eggs in my incubator right know but its only day two this is only my third time hatching and every time its even more exciting i know its lock down but i have a may hatch a long going if you would like to join

That's a very handsome flock you have there. I have 28 eggs in lockdown right now and 3 pipped this afternoon so I am right there along with you!

Thank you! They’re all just the best really. I don’t know how I got so lucky to be blessed with such a sweet mixed flock.

They were extras in my first mail order. I was concerned about everyone getting along but they’re about 8 months old now and get along great. They’ll get in the occasional argument over treats, but the hens are waaaay meaner with them! My RIRs love to chase poor Rocky around
